Haydn-Jahr 2009

Category : Doku & Interview

Let yourself be carried away by Joseph Haydn's music on a journey to the places where it was composed.

The beginning stages Lidia Baich performing the "Allegro" from the Sonata Nr. 1 in G Major for violin and piano in the Haydn hall of Esterházy Palace in Eisenstadt.

This is followed by impressions from further Haydn venues in Vienna, Lower Austria, Burgenland and Sopron. The musical background is provided by the 3rd movement of Haydn's Concerto for Trumpet in E flat major, performed by the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, conducted by Sir Neville Marriner, featuring Hakan Hardenberger on Trumpet.
